VICKY'S PET CONNECTION

WELCOME!

Thank you for visiting. We hope you will take the time to explore the site and learn more about our organization, our mission and how you can help.

Vicky's Pet Connection, established in 1998, is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, caring for and placing homeless and abandoned pets in our community. We are approaching a decade of service with over 9,000 lives saved directly through rescue and adoption, over 800 in 2007 alone. Primary focus of our mission is community animal welfare education, spay/neuter advocacy, and low/no cost spay/neuter assistance. Every animal that passes through our doors is sterilized. Literally tens-of-thousands of lives have been indirectly saved with our aggressive spay/neuter programs.

You can help us continue our life saving programs by making a donation via PayPal.  All donations are tax deductable.

VPC is a "Guaranteed Placement" program. Every animal that enters our program is given medical attention, social interaction, behavior assistance and TLC until a suitable forever home is found. We accomplish this through a network of experienced foster homes and on-site kennel facilities.

We are also dedicated to educating people about the cost of pet keeping to make sure the new family understands it takes a responsible step and is ready to face all the expenses that will arise after adopting a pet. Our volunteers are always ready to advise you on pet financing and tell you what items you will need to purchase first. This way, we want to make pet adoption less stressful for both four-legged friends and their new families.

VPC often takes into it's program special case animals that would have otherwise been lost to the over-burdened, under-funded shelter system. Pregnant moms, orphaned litters and animals in need of aggressive veterinary treatment find the care they need - and loving, permanent homes- through our program.

Built in 2004, our kennel is a temporary home to litters of puppies and their moms, adult dogs, and often some cats in the lobby. Expectant moms are provided a safe and clean environment to have their puppies and raise them until they're ready to find permanent homes. Three outdoor runs behind the kennel are used by puppies and adult dogs to play and get exercise. (See photo to right.)  We also have an on-site cattery where an abundant number of cats and kittens are housed year round.

In July 2007 the Critter Cottage opened in Ada.  There are always cats available for adoption at this location.  Dog and puppy adoptions are done by special appointment and during adoption events.  2 Feet 4 Paws runs a pet supply retail store where you can purchase supplies for cats, dogs, and wild birds.  Doubledog Design offers a unique boutique shopping experience.

We are a grass-roots organization run entirely by volunteers and 100% of our revenue is put directly back into our programs to help the animals. Please visit our GIVING OPPORTUNITIES page to learn how to make a financial or in-kind donation, or for information on our volunteer opportunities.
