*Want to adopt a CAT? Please, do not submit an application unless you are seriously considering adoption. If you know the name of the cat you are interested in, please indicate that in your application. If you would like some assistance in choosing a cat and are committed to adopting a cat in the immediate future, you may fill out an adoption application and be “pre-qualified” for adoption. All parties concerned must agree to adding a new pet to your household. Please do not apply until the time you are ready to take your pet home. You are expected to take your adopted cat home at the time that the adoption is completed. You must be over 18 in order to fill out an adoption application.

*Want to adopt a DOG? Please, do not submit an application unless you are seriously considering adoption and know the name(s) of the animal(s) that you are interested in adopting. You must have a specific dog/puppy in mind before applying for adoption. All parties concerned must agree to adding a new pet to your household. Please do not apply until the time you are ready to take your pet home. You are expected to take the new addition to your family home at the time of your adoption meeting after your application has been approved. You must be over 18 in order to fill out an adoption application.

VPC is run completely by volunteers, many of which work full time during the day. It is sometimes difficult to process applications the same day they are received. We often receive numerous applications for one animal we have available for adoption. If you do not hear from us within a few days it is because another applicant was approved for the animal(s) you are interested in or your application has not been approved.
